SDBW 2015 Crushed starts Beer Week off the only way we know how, going EPIC!

Crushed is starting SDBW 2015 Big & Bad, with our friends from Salt Lake City. Epic Brewing Company! We’ve been cellaring a barrel of 2014 Big Bad Baptist Imperial Stout all year just so we could pour it for you! We’ll also have 2015 Big Bad Baptist, some very, very rare bottles of Sour Brainless on Peaches, and maybe another surprize or two!

This is a can’t miss event!

SDBW 2015 The Blvd and Alesmith Saturday Brunch

It’s Saturday morning and Crushed is starting your day off right! We will be featuring two of our favorite breweries Boulevard Brewing from Kansas City, and hometown legends Alesmith Brewing in Mira Mesa. Direct from Boulevard we’ll be pouring some Funky Pumpkin, 100% Brett Saison, Rye on Rye, The Ginger Lemon Radler, and the amazing Cigar City(Tampa, FL) Collaboration Number 5 Tropical Pale Ale!!!

and if that wasn’t rad enough...

We will be pouring from Alesmith Brewing the newly released Winter Yulesmith, Barrel Aged Wee Heavy, and Vietnamese Speedway Stout!!!

This event has something for everybody: Sours, Strong Ales, and Stouts, Oh my!

SDBW 2015 It’s a Pizza (Port) Party!

It’s Saturday Night, and it’s time to Party! So what’s the best way to party San Diego Beer Week style? ...With San Diego brewing heroes Pizza Port, Port Brewing, and The Lost Abbey!!! Vince and Gina Marsaglia have been shredding the San Diego shores since 1992 and now with 5 brewery/restaurants and a monster production facility they are putting out some of the best beer in the country.

SDBW 2015 Bravery Night With Brewmaster/Owner Brian Avery

Bravery is a wonderful little brewery in the heart of Lancaster, California (LA region) with Owner/Brewer Brian Avery at the helm. He’s been making killer beers since 2011, and we are super stoked to be pouring five ridiculously awesome ones:

The Allegiance IPA which is incredibly hoppy west coast style IPA
The Mocharova which is a sweet stout with coffee beans, cacao nibs, and vanilla beans
The Meritorious which is a cellar aged Belgian strong Ale
Bourbon Barrel-Aged Gunny’s Choice which is a very limited Belgian style Quadrupel
Pumpkin Apple Pie Ale which is a Belgian Dubbel with pumpkin spice, apple cider, and other spooky Spices

Brian will be down here and hanging out the whole night, so come on by drink some amazing small batch beers with an awesome guy and great brewer!

SDBW 2015 Crushed presents The New Kids On The Block featuring Duck Foot Brewing & O’Sullivan Brothers Brewing

Of the one billion or so breweries that opened this year in San Diego our two favorites are Duck Foot Brewing out of Miramar and O’Sullivan Bros. Brewing out of Scripps Ranch. So we figured, what the heck let’s let them take over Crushed for the night. So we’re splitting up the handles: 11 for Duck Foot and 11 for O’Sullivan Brothers. That means that everything they brew you can try right here at Crushed.

For those not familiar with these breweries Duck Foot is an all celiac friendly brewery making some awesome “very gluten reduced” brews.

O’Sullivan Bros.

A truly family owned and operated brewery with Ed, and Rob O’Sullivan brewing the beers, Taylor ”The Younger” O’Sullivan delivering the kegs, and Rose “Momma” O’Sullivan pouring the brews at the tasting room, and they just happen to make some of the finest porters and stouts in town.

You know what’s more killer than Jason Voorhees? Fall Brewing Company out of North Park! Ray Astamendi and the boys have been brewing deadly ales, and lagers for the last 10 months and we’re frighteningly excited to be pouring six of our Fall favorites to slash that hangover and get you ready to run for the rest of the weekend.

SDBW 2015 Crushed Thorn Street Brewing Total Tap Takeover & First Firkin

It’s no secret in Pacific Beach that we at Crushed love Thorn Street Brewing Company, since we opened last year we’ve had on draft at least one Thorn Street beer, and as many as 22 a few months back.
Well.. we’re doing it again!
All 22 of our faucets will be pouring North Park’s finest!
Plus our very first FIRKIN!!! We’ll be pouring cask condition Mystic Gnome!!!
Come down and hang with the Thorn Street Team, and drink some tasty one off brews, and the entire catalog of awesome Thorn Beers.

Saturday Morning Kindl Weisse Bar with 32 North Brewing

With the beer week winding down we thought maybe we need to do something on the lighter side of life, so our good friends at 32 North Brewing brought us some Berliner Weisse and we asked ourselves “How cool would it be to make your own Kindl Weisse?” So that’s what we’re gonna do, we’ll give you a glass of 32 North Brewing Berliner Weisse and you can add one of 13 different flavored syrups to create a custom drinking experience. Prost!!!
